    What I Do

My name is Hans Boye Boyesen.

    Welcome to my shop... BornAgainGuitars

I am a professional luthier and specialize in the repair, service, restoration and custom building of guitars, basses and many other stringed instruments. Call me with your needs

I am a guitarist and bass player who has enjoyed over fifty years of playing the guitar, many times helping other players with adjustments and repairs. I attended the re-known Galloup School of Guitar Building and Repair in Big Rapids, Michigan, attaining an in-depth knowledge and certification of repairing and restoring stringed instruments. You can trust that professional services live here.

Our passion for building and repairing stringed instruments is fueled by our dedication to provide each and every customer with professional work and also offer helpful suggestions for the care and maintenance of their instruments.

Spot the guitar truck & save some bucks

Everyone loves an old classic car...and I am proud to own this old truck which  has officially dubbed

    The Guitar Truck.

And don't forget our Gifted Guitar Program.

We donate guitars to underprivileged kids, rehabilitating individuals, church ministries and veterans,

so don't forget if you have a broken, perhaps neglected guitar or stringed instrument, give us a call

we can repair it and give it to someone who could really appreciate it...

or even gift it forward again. Help keep the music going!

"Hans is my guitar guy. The first thing he did for me was set up my son's entry level guitar to make it playable. I now bring all my guitars to him to set up and perform tweaks to get them to where I want them to be.

My experience is that Hans makes below average guitars good and excellent guitars perfect."

Hans is a first class luthier and a great guy. He just finished a fret level, crown and polish on my custom telecaster. His work is impeccable. The guitar played great before, but now it plays like a dream. Reasonable rates and highly recommended.

    Pre-owned gear deals

    Looking for a guitar? amp?

Maybe strings, or an LR Baggs acoustic pickup install in that good old flat top.

We also have gigbags, cases, tuners, FX pedals too.

Just call ahead of time and check what's available.

New Equipment being added as we expand our shop

Our Erlewine Neck Jig has been a great addition for fretwork and the electronics bench area is now expanded with new cost saving equipment.

We also have installed a high efficiency ventilation system in our shop along with a

6' x 10' humidity controlled storage room for customers' acoustic guitars

    Guitar tip of the month

The weather is changing so we want to remind our acoustic people to make sure there is proper humidification as heat is increased in the house...dont let the air become too "dry". You want 53 -59% humidity in your environment.
